Marking its 75th year of academic excellence, the Madras School of Social Work (MSSW) proudly launches its Open Learning Courses (OLC) platform — a landmark initiative that reflects the institution's enduring commitment to disseminating knowledge and advancing social transformation.
The MSSW–OLC e-Learning platform will offer a diverse range of courses drawn from the extensive body of work undertaken over the past three years by the Centre for Social Justice and Equity (CSJE), established at MSSW under the financial grant of the Department of Social Justice, Government of Tamil Nadu.
The primary aim of the MSSW OLC e-Learning platform is to translate CSJE's rich and variegated research, training, and documentation activities into innovative and exceptional curricula focused on the socio-economic realities, cultural challenges, and developmental needs of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities of Tamil Nadu. By bridging rigorous field-based scholarship with structured e-learning modules, this e-Learning platform seeks to widen access to critical knowledge, strengthen capacities among students, practitioners, and policymakers, and further MSSW's mission of imparting inclusive, socially conscious education.
CoRSAL is a digital language archive dedicated to the documentation, preservation and sharing of South Asia’s minority and underrepresented languages. It is a joint initiative of Indiana University Bloomington Linguistics and the University of North Texas Digital Libraries, led by Shobhana Chelliah and Mark Phillips.
CoDIN is an interdisciplinary research and policy organisation working at the intersection of language, technology, diversity and innovation. It brings together linguistics, computational technologies, community knowledge and policy thinking to explore how emerging technologies can respond more equitably to India’s linguistic and cultural diversity.
